On November 28 the world premiere of “Odesa Rhapsody” by Evgeni Orkin took place at the 6th East-West Cultures Festival “Odesa” in Paris.

“Odesa Rhapsody” is a kind of musical story that hopes to move the listener first to the shore of the Black Sea, where the wind from Primorsky Boulevard brings the sounds of a big and loud city, then to “Pryvoz” — a market, full of mixed, but not disappearing color, emphasizes cosmopolitanism, openness of the city. The third part “Night” — silence, disturbing buzzing of planes that bring peace? War? Heavy thoughts, doubts… The last part of the rhapsody is “The Sea”. Strong waves wash away space and time, leaving behind only the well-known Odesa melody “By the Black Sea”.
