The world premiere of “Daddy’s Book” by Evgeni Orkin in Brussels

On September 5, we presented the world premiere of the cantata “Daddy’s Book” by Evgeni Orkin, commissioned by Oksana Lyniv specially for the project LOST CHILDHOOD. A work based on texts by Volodymyr Vakulenko, a well-known Ukrainian activist, novelist and author of children’s poems who was tortured and killed near Kharkiv in December 2022.

The premiere and the project were dedicated to the theme of childhood that the war took away from our children and the “Second Executed Renaissance” – the artists who died during the war in Ukraine.
