ABOUT THE PROJECT

follow on social networks

The main focus of the program was the theme of nature and elements in modern society in general and in Ukrainian culture in particular. The world-renowned Ukrainian violinist Valeriy Sokolov performed with the orchestra, as well as the young Bulgarian virtuoso soloist, winner of many prestigious world prizes and awards, Vivi Vassileva, who performed an impressive concerto for drums and orchestra of Tang Dun “The Tears of Nature”, where in each part the composer reminds of the last major environmental disasters of mankind.

At the end of the program, the world premiere of  Zoltan Almashi’s specially written cantata for vocal ensemble and symphony orchestra on the themes of Kupala songs was performed. Together with the “KURBASY” ethno-band, those present immersed themselves in a world full of harmony and interpenetration of man and nature – a typical model of the worldview of ancient Ukrainian culture.
