ARK “UKRAINE”: Music is a large multidisciplinary project that combines musical and visual arts, cultural heritage and the latest technologies, publishing, scientific and research work, and ethnographic heritage. His mission for the country is in the dialogue between the past and the future, in an attempt to rethink the national heritage and update it for the modern listener, to reload the “cultural archives” and make them interesting to our contemporaries.

 

The basis of the project is a unique concert-musical collage of the best examples of Ukrainian musical heritage under the leadership of the star of the world classical scene, conductor Oksana Liniv.

 

The musical director, co-author and chief conductor of the project is the internationally renowned conductor Oksana Lyniv (Ukraine-Germany), who recently received the Best Conductor Award 2020 and in 2021 will make her debut as the first female conductor at the world’s most prestigious opera festival in Bayreuth, Germany; founder and art director of the LvivMozArt International Classical Music Festival, founder, chief conductor and artistic director of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine/YSOU.

 

25 soloists took part in the grand concert program, including Ukrainian ethno-groups – Daha Brakha, Khoreya Kozatska, KURBASY, soloists Oksana Nikityuk, Nazar Tatsyshyn, Ulyana Gorbachevska, 84-year-old singer from Polissia DominikaChekun, bandurist O. Sozansky, as well as National Men’s Choral Chapel “Dudaryk”, Chamber Girls’ Choir of the KSSMSH named after M. Lysenko, Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine/YsOU, conducted by Oksana Lyniv.
